Pardon me if you can't read Chinese, it literally means 'The Moon Is Rounder In Foreign Country'...
Since my 2nd visit to JB Branch to deliver my very own Training & Motivation Slides, the response has been overwhelming, OK, I am not a proud guy although I do have a high self esteem, I always deliver my best or otherwise I lost interest in doing it at all. So.. my speech (or mostly whatever I do) is always well prepared and I expect recognition. This is a typical D & C character. (If you don't understand what I mean by D & C, please attend the next D.I.S.C Course, it's great!) ;-)
My Branch Manager called me up today and telling me that Melaca, Batu Bahat, Kluang and Muar are asking if I can pay them a visit to deliver my Training & Motivation Slides, I said sure, as I mentioned before I would LOVE to go any branches to delivered my well prepared presentation, particularly giving priority to those branches I have never been before... I told her that I am flying to Kuching for the same thing, too. And the conversation went well until something (something sounds strange enough to me) pop up:
She said: 'You are not so popular locally but you are more popular outside KK branch, because 外国的月亮比较圆...'
Ok, as I mentioned I am not a very proud guy, but I do have a very high self-esteem. I am thinking, if I am not GOOD, why am I being ask to do all those 'local' sharing at 'local' branch activity, until the point that I have to push away some of them to stay clear mentally (yes, speaking too frequent suffocated my mind), if I am not good 'locally' why is that people have been trying sooo hard to get a copy of my slides using various options and 'loop hole', including hacking my website and some single male agent 'sweet talking' my single lady agent to try to ask for the password to whatever materials I put onto the Internets?
Well, I could have been totally misunderstood my Brnahc Manager, in which case I would feel bad about 'saying' all those above. But this feeling has been happening more frequent recently, it seems that every time I was happy about something, some lady has to walk up to me and try to put me down on to the Earth by saying something which not exactly 100% 'politically correct' to me. I wonder... Emm....
Anyway, the reason I am still happily doing what I am doing, I mean giving speeches across branches are these:
1. I feel happy to see attendees coming up to me after the session and ask me specific questions on 'how-to's.
2. I love to see their eyes sparkling and motivated after my session.
3. I love to visit all Branch Managers and have lunch or dinner with them to get to know them more, so that I can compared them to my 'local' Branch Manager.
4. I love to know if what I want to say is what they want to hear.
5. I love to tell people that I have started writing my First Book and I have currently NO Deadline for that.
6. I love to let people know that there is a GAM her in Kota Kinabalu, and KK Boleh!
7. (I am sleepy...)
